Search Engine Optimisation |
||
| Below
are some of the more in-depth factors we look at when optimizing a website: - Header content, we use a H1, H2, H3 tag as opposed to a larger font tag when the text contains a keyword. This is because Header content is considered more descriptive of what is actually on the page. - Textual links, when creating textual links, we make the links a keyword. Keyword links will garner much more credit than 'Click Here.' - ALT text, we add a 'short' keyword rich ALT text to your graphic links. - Meta tag description, some engines do not read meta tag description, instead they use the first few lines of code on your web site for the web site's description in the search results. One answer is to place a small transparent graphic just beneath the BODY tag and add a description for the page in the form of ALT text to that graphic. The engines that read ALT text will then be able to use this for the description of your web page. |
